"Following the completion of the Lemsford carriageway repairs in St Albans City Centre I would like to take this opportunity to thank SQS for the professional manner in which the works were undertaken and the speed and efficiency in which they were completed. Prior to the works being carried out I had some reservations regarding the operation of the site and the length of time the works would take due to its difficult residential location and fragmented nature. I am pleased to say that the works were finished ahead of time and to a high standard. Many thanks."

In the summer of 2007 there were several water main bursts within a 3 week period in the Harrow area.
The magnitude of the problem and the resolution are highlighted in the following series of pictures:

Re: Recent Major Water Bursts in Harrow.
Following the six major bursts in Harrow over the past three weeks, I would like to take this opportunity to thank some key members of your organization and contractors.
As you are no doubt aware the problems that arise from such large-scale bursts are very disruptive to all and I believe that the speed in which the works were undertaken and successful outcome of each individual burst was only possible as a result of the level of commitment and professionalism shown by all involved.
And a special thanks to Stanmore Quality Surfacing, who pulled out all the stops in repairing the extensive consequential damage to the highway with such dispatch and to a very high standard which ensured that roads were closed for an absolute minimum duration. On the last occasion at Marsh Lane, the 21” main was repaired on Friday 13th late in the evening and by Sunday the 15th at 4:30pm SQS had backfilled the excavation, cast an extensive concrete slab across the full width of the carriageway, approximately 600 square metres of c/w was planed off and reconstructed, all road markings reinstated and the road re-opened to traffic. Outstanding!
The contributions from all involved were, and continue to be, of great importance to the successful service delivery in dealing with such major incidents.
Yours Sincerely
Highway Network Management.
