Recycling and Environmental Matters

SQS™ is ever mindful of the current pressures of environmental waste management which has in the past year; become very high profile within the Reinstatement and Construction industries.

The central sustainable benefits of recycling arise as a consequence of reducing the need for materials, landfill space and haulage. These benefits accrue to society in the widest sense and are reflected in the policies adopted by both central and local government. Utility companies also favour the recycling of trench working creating a "win-win" situation for all parties concerned.

In early 2007, we established our spoil recycling facility, Quality Recycling Solutions, situated at Scratchwood just off the M1 in North London.

It is our corporate objective to ensure that we use as many recycled materials as possible in any reinstatement project and we are working closely with our suppliers and partners to ensure that we deliver these goals.
